Appalachian Mountain Club
June 24, 2016
Founded in 1876, the Appalachian Mountain Club (AMC) operates through 12 chapters stretching from Maine to Washington, D.C. The AMC maintains the Bay Circuit Trail (BCT), a 230+ mile trail and greenway corridor used by over 4 million people in New England.
Athena volunteers participated in a full-day cleanup and restoration of a ½ mile section of the BCT. Athena assisted in building simple bog bridges to improve walkability on muddy sections of the trail through Concord’s Hapgood Wright Town Forest.
