Doug Cohen talks market rebounds with Reuters
The S&P 500 and the Dow have had their best June since 1955 and 1938, respectively. Reuters asked Doug Cohen, Athena Capital’s managing director of portfolio management, to provide his input on this trend and on the possible outcomes of the Group of 20 summit.
Cohen notes that the market is rebounding from the fourth quarter and is now able to “climb the proverbial wall of worry.” On G20, he adds, “Right now, the consensus is that there will be a six-month reprieve from the tariff increases threatened by Trump. I think that’s more or less baked in to the markets,” he told the paper. “People don’t want to be on the wrong side of good news.”
